Marden Congregational Church is situated in the lovely Weald village of Marden Kent and has been on its present site since 1804. The church is an integral part of the local community with a vision for growth. Even with all its venerable history, now is an exciting time to become a member. We believe that the church has an unprecedented opportunity for growth, because there are no independent evangelical churches within our natural catchment area and due to many factors we will be able to take advantage of those opportunities.
As a church we are involved in the local primary school with a lunchtime club called Kingsquad. This is very popular and has produced a club on Saturday mornings (click the "Saturday Fun Club!" tab for more information). For the not so young we will hold events tailored to your needs and if there is any way that we can make church more accessible please contact us.
We are also active members of the Marden Business Forum of which our Pastor is Chaplain.

We have for some time been running an alternative to traditional church. We acknowledge that for many people Sunday is the only time that their families can get together and therefore due to these commitments they cannot attend traditional Sunday services. At present we hold a meeting on a Friday night and this is less traditional in many ways giving opportunities to use personal gifts within the church. Have a look at the "What's Happening" page for details.
We are a “people” orientated church with the benefit of a chapel complex. The main building itself is of a traditional chapel design with a gallery on three sides and due to that could comfortably be able to seat 250 people. We have enviable onsite facilities having a modern spacious hall and kitchen attached to the back of the chapel. Also there are quiet gardens and a car park at the rear of the property.
